This rare American vintage guitar was made by Micro-Frets, a Maryland-based manufacturer known for producing distinctive guitars from the late 1960s through the early 1970s. Based on serial number “3713” and its specifications, this example is believed to date from around 1973. However, due to the limited availability of Micro-Frets production records, the exact year cannot be confirmed. Several modifications have been made from the original configuration. The original bridge has been modified, with the rear section cut shorter. The guitar has been refretted with stainless steel frets, and the Micro-Frets headstock logo has been reapplied. The original metal “Micro-Nut,” which allowed individual adjustment for each string, has been removed. The modified area was filled with rosewood, and a new bone nut was made and installed. The pots have also been replaced. While this guitar is not in original condition, these modifications have been made with practical playability in mind. Condition: * Neck: Good * Scale: Short scale * Frets: Stainless steel frets. No indentations or dead notes. * Truss rod: Adjustment room remains in both directions. * String action: 1.7 mm on the 6th string and 1.6 mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret. * Cosmetic condition: Dents and scratches are present, with almost no noticeable dirt. * Output jack: No issues. * Modifications / replaced parts: Original bridge modified and shortened. Refretted with stainless steel frets. Headstock logo reapplied. Original Micro-Nut removed, with the area filled with rosewood and a new bone nut installed.
